We currently offer the following programmes:

Introduction to Mediation Awareness. This course gives learners an introductory insight into mediation. It is a course that is useful for anyone who wants to know more about mediation and would like to learn about resolving conflicts positively.

Managing Conflict this is a conflict management programme that can equip people with an understanding, insight and skills base to better deal with situations where they find themselves in conflict. This would be useful for individuals who work directly with the public and can improve communication and minimise potential conflicts.

Start the new year by acquiring invaluable skills!

What is mediation? Mediation is a way of sorting out problems using talking, listening and co-operation with the help of people who are neutral. Mediation works by using impartial helpers (mediators) to build communication and understanding where relationships have broken down so that it has become difficult to talk. Mediators give people the chance to be listened to. They can pass messages between parties who are in conflict and help people find ways of achieving solutions that suit all sides.

We are running a one day 'introduction to mediation' course, here at Scotia Works, on Leadmill Road in Sheffield. It will look at how techniques can help you in your daily life and work, helping you to understand, deal with and minimise conflict. The course will be useful for your work life, at home and in general interaction with other people.
